Keyfort Ltd
Keyfort delivers managed IT services tailored to the individual requirements of private and public sector organizations. Our services span specific IT functions to complete IT outsourcing. We provide secure solutions using appropriate current technology including Keyfort’s cloud computing services (KCS) and hybrid solutions with existing customer systems. As a result we provide customers with business benefits in the form of improved service reliability, functionality, monitoring and reporting; reduced IT service development times; minimized CapEx and IT administrative overhead; planned OpEx.
- Keyfort was founded in 2000 to provide secure network solutions for private and public sector organizations based in the UK & Ireland, usually with multiple sites and remote workers plus the occasional international office to be linked to shared corporate systems. The Keyfort office started in a village near Bournemouth and then moved to the Bournemouth town centre where it now resides, close to the beach and the railway station.
- With the growth of Internet bandwidth capacity, quality and availability Keyfort developed its remote management, monitoring, reporting and online services to rapidly provide additional IT functionality and services to its customers.
- With the advent of commercially viable cloud computing Keyfort developed and deployed its cloud computing service (KCS) which uses the leading technology (VMware) and resilient server farms hosted at core telephone exchanges.
- In 2010 Keyfort opened its second office in Hull to service the M62 corridor and the north of England.
- In the same year Keyfort started to develop software applications to better meet customer requirements for tailored KCS solutions including hybrid solutions with existing customer IT systems. One such example is KDIS, a supply chain visibility application which enables manufacturers, distribution centres, carriers and retailers to work closely together. As part of this work, Keyfort has teamed up with the University of Hull Logistics Institute to further develop KCS for the logistics sector.
- In 2011 Keyfort commenced working with partners in Germany and the Netherlands to provide tailored KCS services for these countries. In addition exploratory work has commenced in Kuwait.
